Sarah Gordon
Sarah Gordon and her Mother in Law, Jerri Gordon, started the law firm of Gordon & Gordon in 2010. Previously, Ms. Gordon worked for a family law firm for several years before deciding to form her own practice. Being a lawyer is certainly a family business as Ms. Gordon is the third generation of Gordon family lawyers.
Ms. Gordon grew up in Alpharetta before attending Georgia Tech where she focused her studies on Engineering. During Ms. Gordon's junior year she was involved in a traumatic accident forcing her to become acquainted with the legal system. Through this experience she gained an interest in the law and a desire to help those that are facing personal turmoil.
Ms. Gordon then focused the remainder of her studies on Business Management in order to prepare for a career in the law. After graduating from Georgia Tech, with highest honors, Ms. Gordon was accepted into the Emory School of Law. She was a merit scholar, receiving a 70% scholarship. Throughout law school, Ms. Gordon worked with a firm handling divorce and personal injury cases.
Ms. Gordon and her husband, Murray, live in Dekalb County, Georgia with their 12 year old daughter. She enjoys running, cooking and spending quality time with her family. Sarah Gordon, Esq. actively practices divorce and family law in Fulton, Gwinnett, Forsyth, Cobb, Dekalb, Henry and Paulding counties. Jerri Gordon
Ms. Gordon teamed up with her daughter-in-law, Sarah Gordon, in 2010 in order to form the law firm of Gordon & Gordon. Ms. Gordon comes from a long line of family lawyers and offers the skill and empathy necessary to Gordon & Gordon clients facing a family law issue. Ms. Gordon received her law degree from the University of New York. After receiving her degree, Ms. Gordon was able to gain extensive trial experience helping others navigate the legal system. Ms. Gordon is a recent Georgia transplant after moving from Maine in order to be closer to her son, granddaughter and daughter in law.
Ms. Gordon enjoys painting, cooking and traveling.
